The Plaster project is one of my favorite projects I get to do all year with the 7th Grade. We have the students take turns getting their face plastered by people at their table they sit at. Once the face is plastered we set them in the front of the room to dry, and watch the plaster come off their faces, and then they paint them after they are dry. Most of the students choose to splater paint these, but every once in a while someone will change it up. I think that the students really enjoy getting their hands dirty and working on these as well.

For this project we read the book 'Giraffes Can't Dance' by Guy Parker-Rees and then drew pictures based off his book. The students drew these with pencil first, then traced it over with markers so it seemed like a coloring page that they made.
The 4th Grade learned about the artist William Wegman and made a picture based off of his artwork. The 4th graders seemed to enjoy this project but having spring break in the middle of this project seemed to de-rail their energy and excitement, but still they didnt turn out too bad.

For this project with the Art Club, we as a group decided on a picture of a trojan that one of them drew. Once we had a drawing, we projected the picture onto the wall and traced out the main features onto wooden panels. Each student was given one panel to paint, they could paint anything they desired as long as it fit the color scheme of the original Trojan. Once they painted their panels we put them back together to complete the trojan. The final work is about 6 ft tall and 4 ft wide. There are still a couple of panels to paint but I am excited to share it.
