3rd Grade Goals

This was a project I found over at Art Projects for Kids  It was a great help to add writing to an art class.  The students made a list of their goals for the 2012-13 school year.  A lot of them want to meet their AR goal which is a great goal for the year.  Some even want to get better at ART!!!

Color Worms

This project is to help 1st graders learn about their color wheel.  The first one is a snake pretending to be dead, not a worm as I was told when complimenting her worm.

7th Grade Shading

An idea I got from a fellow art teacher on shading concepts.  Each student chose 2 four letter words to write in the boxes and then they proceeded to shade different values in each section created from their words.

Lets start the year off with some WIP's

WIP's--(works in progress)
Its a hard thing to start posting on the blog right when school starts.  I have a full day with the students going over the class rules along with getting them use to the new schedule.  Once school is fully underway I will be able to post on a bi-weekly manner, but as of right now no students have finished work yet.  So very soon you will be seeing some finished projects.  In the meantime here are some WIP's

7th Grade is working with values

6th grade is working the grayscale

If your not DIRTY your not working hard enough!

4th Grade is learning to write in Block Letters.

5th grade is working with a profile of their head.

Back To School

It's that time again!!!

BACK TO SCHOOL

Not too many things have changed since last year.  This blog is going to be updated on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year.  I have included an E-Mail subscription so you can receive updates when I make them. It is located to the right of this post.  As for the students in the classes, the most important thing they need to have this year is a positive attitude on how well we can do art.   It's going to be a great year I can't wait to get back, and I hope the students are feeling the same way!!
See everyone soon.
