I really enjoy having the students work on this project, We base our project off the artist Eric Joyner, an artist who works with Robots and Doughnuts. The 7th graders really enjoy this project. The criteria for the project is having at least 2 robots and some doughnuts, the rest is up to their imagination.

I have had trouble trying to get students to get a good Mondrian for the last few years but this year I have finally got the students to create some great Mondrian pictures. I had to let the students have some fun drawing circles, even though Mondrian did not use circles, but I think they turned out great. And the circles really added something different to the normal Mondrian type of pictures.

Alright this year is off to a great start and a busy one at that. Here are some WIPS to really get this year off right. You soon will see each one of these completed projects in the next week or so.
The first picture though is a Cupcake that was made from one of my art club students, I loved it.

This was a fun one day project I did with the 4th grade class. It was the fist time they really worked with charcoal and besides some of the students not liking getting messy its was a great project. I started this project off with a demo with the charcoal and then passed out the supplies, and on the board I reminded them how to draw out the eyes. Great project.
